AJC Global Forum Webcast Reminders
Opening Plenary
Sunday, April 27 | 4:30 PM ET

In the AJC Global Forum 2025 Opening Plenary, hear from individuals directly impacted by the events of October 7, 2023, including family members of those still held hostage and those who have returned from captivity in Gaza. Among them will be Noa Argamani, whose harrowing abduction by Hamas was widely publicized and whose return has become a symbol of resilience and hope—as evidenced by Noa’s recent inclusion in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025. Jewish leaders from France, Australia, and Mexico will discuss the importance of strengthening Jewish peoplehood and share strategies for combating the rise of antisemitism worldwide. And a panel of leading Israeli journalists, representing a wide range of political and ideological perspectives, will give us an inside look at Israeli current affairs.
Monday Morning Plenary
Monday, April 28 | 9:00 AM ET

During the Monday Morning Plenary, we'll have the privilege of recognizing three student groups with the annual AJC Sharon Greene Award for Campus Advocacy, and learning about their extraordinary leadership in confronting surging antisemitism on campus since October 7. We’ll also hear from university and independent school leaders on safeguarding Jewish life in educational spaces at a time when Jewish students are feeling vulnerable and isolated. Urban warfare expert and vocal Israel defender John Spencer will join us to offer insights on his public battle against misinformation and lies targeting the Jewish state. We’re also proud to honor Paraguayan President H.E. Santiago Peña for his unwavering support of Paraguay’s Jewish community and the State of Israel, exemplified by his leadership in relocating Paraguay’s Israel embassy to Jerusalem last December, among other efforts. And we will pay tribute to the memory of Chairwoman Nita Lowey—a fierce champion of the Jewish community, Israel, and international human rights—by presenting the inaugural AJC Nita M. Lowey Congressional Leadership Award.
AJC Great Debate
Monday, April 28 | 5:30 PM ET

Should the United States remain actively engaged in the world or adopt a more restrained, nationalist approach? This question will take center stage in AJC Global Forum’s signature session, the Great Debate. Bill Kristol, esteemed political analyst, Editor at Large of The Bulwark, and a leading conservative thinker, and Ellie Cohanim, Deputy Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism (2019-21), co-author of An America First Approach to U.S. National Security, and U.S. foreign policy expert, will debate the “America First” approach to U.S. foreign policy. With rising tensions between national strength and global responsibility, they’ll tackle critical questions about America’s role in the world and the future of U.S. democracy. Don’t miss this thought-provoking debate.
Closing Plenary
Tuesday, April 29 | 10:45 AM ET

At the Closing Plenary, we’ll explore the future of the Middle East and the partnerships shaping the region. We’ll also reflect on 60 years since the Nostra Aetate declaration, a revolution in Catholic-Jewish relations. We’ll mark the transition from Yom HaZikaron to Yom Ha’atzmaut by recognizing our AJC ACCESS Israel participants, many of whom were called into reserve duty after October 7, and by hearing from a Nova Music Festival survivor, as we honor and celebrate the resilience and enduring spirit of the Israeli people. And AJC CEO Ted Deutch will take the stage to deliver his annual call to action.
